Program Title: RVF 2016-2017 - Week 59 - CJLY
Description: Casandra Pigeon, bilingual student from Montreal visiting the Kootenays for the summer, interviewed 3 artists under the theme of the linguistic duality. The First artist, Guillaume Fuseau, was born in France and lives in Montreal since he is 9 years old. He is a singer song-writer. The two other interviewees are both originally from Quebec and moved to the Kootenays 2 years ago. Fanny Parent is a pottery artist and explains how the francophone community helped in her integration. Vincent Deslauriers is a poet and he expanded the conversation of linguistic duality by talking about the First Nation languages and how they should also be part of the country’s language diversity.
