Program Title: Endeavours - Breaking down the Higgs Boson
Description: Michel Vitterli is an SFU professor, as well as one of the lead researchers of ATLAS, one of the two main research teams at CERN, that discovered a particle consistent with the Higgs Boson (aka the God particle). The Higgs Boson is a subatomic particle thought to answer fundamental questions about the origins of the universe. It is the last remaining sub-atomic particle. Vitterli talks about his experience at CERbaN, what his research team, and whether the Higgs Boson's existence has actually been proven.
Vancouver-based Vikram Vij is one the world's foremost authorities on Indian cuisine. He is owner of two Vancouver restaurants - Vij's and Rangoli - both noted for having an all-female kitchen staff. In addition to being a supporter of the sustainable food industry and Green table society, Vij is also active in the Indo-Canadian cultural community, headlining this year's Indian Summer Fest.
Brittney Grabill is actress and singer-songwriter originally from Sherwood Park, Alberta, and now living in Vancouver. Her new single "I Like You", for which she just completed her music video, is available on iTunes.
