Program Title: Independent journalists denied entry into Canada to cover Olympics Description: On Tuesday, February 9, John Weston Osburn, an independent U.S. journalist from Salt Lake City, was denied entry into Canada twice. This comes after Martin Macias Jr., an independent radio journalist from Chicago, was detained for eight hours by the Canada Border Services Agency at the Vancouver International Airport and then put on a plane to Seattle. CiTR News Co-Director Andrew Longhurst spoke about recent events with Mac Scott, a lawyer and member of the Olympic Resistance Network's legal team.
