NCRA is hiring a National Coordinator (RePost)
The NCRA has is looking for a National Coordinator to to run it's new National Office to be established in Montreal in January. The National Coordinator will coordinate a major Canadian Talent Development project undertaken by the NCRA and operate the National Office in support of the activities of the NCRA. Salary range is $28-30,000 per annum. Deadline for applications is December 14, 2001.

NCRA Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Annual Conference in Ottawa
Over one hundred representatives from more than thirty campus andcommunity radio stations convened in Ottawa during the third week of June for the 20th annual National Campus and Community Radio Conference (NCRC). In addition to a host of excellant workshops and sessions the NCRA's Annual General Meeting was held, including Board of Directors elections. The Standard Awards were handed out to five station in regognition of broadcasting excellence. Press Release

The deadline for application to the Standard Awards of Excellance have been extended until May 15, 2001.

NCRA accepting Applications for Press Accreditation to Quebec Summit
The federal government has 8 press accreditation passes to the NCRA for distributuion to its members. The passes will provided media access to the security area during the Summit of the Americas in Quebec City, April 20 to 22. For more information about applying for accreditation contact the NCRA Board of Directors. Deadline for applications is March 30, 2001.

Conference Dates Announced
Dates for NCRC 2001 have been announced by conference host CHUO FM89.1. This year's conference will take place in Ottawa from June 11 to 17, 2001. Ottawa marks the return of the conference to its birthplace where the it was first hosted by CKCU in 1981.More information about NCRC 2001.
