Program Title: NewFound Records - Ep. 561 - NL Music from 1990
Description: For this episode we roll back the musical clock thirty years and check out Newfoundland-related records that hit first the bins in 1990. Back then, vinyl records were rapidly fading, and digital records were slowly gaining popularity. In the interim few years, cassette tapes became the choice for many music consumers!

We focus on recordings that were never available digitally. So this is your chance to hear some real local treasures that were pressed only on tape. Highlights include DEREK PELLEY’s Near Life experience and BARRY CANNING’s House of Life.

In addition to the ‘90s selections, we spin a track from an ultra-rare vinyl single from the late ‘50s. The record was so popular that one hotel owner in Avondale took it out of his jukebox because it was all his his customers would play!!!

And on a sad note, we doff our caps in memory of WAYNE GLADNEY. The former bass player and vocalist with The Sons of Erin sings the beautiful Song of The Myra.

And there’s lots more too!
