Program Title: People First Radio: Life During COVID-19
Description: We’re all experiencing disruptions and big changes in our everyday lives. Some of us are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic battle. Others may not have left home for some time, while others have been suffering from COVID-19 infection. Any scan of the news will turn up hundreds of stories about our collective, human, experiences. Vancouver Island Mental Health Society’s People First Radio project is focusing on Life During Covid-19, sharing personal stories and perspectives from a range of citizens.
Host(s): Kevin Midbo
Featured Speakers/Guests: Kim Goldberg lives and works from her home in Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter on Vancouver Island. Kim is an author and poet — her latest book of poetry is called “Devolution” — and she’s also been publishing pandemic poetry on Facebook. The launch of Kim Goldberg’s book “Devolution” had been scheduled for Nanaimo’s Harbour Front Library, but it was cancelled when physical distancing became the norm.
