Program Title: Routes & Branches & Beyond, show #155
Description: This week on "Routes & Branches & Beyond" I take you on some October Rambles. It is a meandering path, from Shetland tunes about ship rigging and late sleeping, to a classic Canadian song of exile, jaw harps and berimbaus and guiros for peace, a Latin tune for strolling in sub-zero temperatures, folk 'n roll from the vanguard of the young and restless, a love story for these complicated modern times (but written last century), a lament about being on the wrong trip in the 1960s San Francisco, a song of hope for our world, and new material that stands at the threshold of the world of fairies (from UK singer Fay Hield). It is all more relaxing than it sounds.
