Description: This episode presents “Café des Voix” featuring vocalists, Elaine Schiman, Caroline Watt, Tom Lips and Krisandra Reid performing at the Village Bakery in Haines Junction, Yukon, in June 2021. They were accompanied by Annie Avery on electric piano and Anne Turner on upright bass.
“Café des Voix” is a volunteer initiative supported by Jazz Yukon. It offers vocalists the opportunity to present tunes mainly from the jazz songbook, as well as blues and Broadway songs. Since its inception in 2016, approximately 50 singers have performed at “Cafe des Voix”, at venues across the Yukon.
