A 1.5 billion dollar electric vehicle battery plant will be built in the Kingston, Ontario area. The first of its kind in North America. Forest Fires hit a record low during the month of June in Québec: bad weather is helping out firefighters. Short term rentals keep some towns from getting some shut-eye. In Québec, the Town of Brome Lake had to back down from a proposed bylaw referendum. But it will keep trying to maintain order in the free-for-all. A BC filmmaker could soon turn into a politician. Marl Vonesch is running as director on the board of the Strathcona Regional District representing Cortes Island this fall.
