Program Title: In Whose Backyard? Environmental Racism Panel Discussion
Description: In Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, residents of Lincolnville have been resisting the provincial government's establishment of several landfills in the (mostly) Black community for over 30 years. In 2006, a new dump in Lincolnville was proposed. This panel discussion includes speakers from Lincolnville, Paq'tnkek First Nation and Halifax speaking about the issue of environmental racism and the current campaign in Lincolnville to shut down the landfills.
