The cerezo comitte was formed 8 years ago by family and friends of some of the Cerezo brothers that were put in jail in 2001 . On 13 August 2001, three of the Cerezo brothers were arrested and tortured . In the intervening years the Cerezo Committee’s work expanded beyond the brothers’ case to many other political prisoners. It became a well known human right organization.

Le comité Cerezo a été créé il y a 8 ans suite à l’arrestation des frères Hector, Alejandro et Antonio Cerezo en 2001, le Comité de soutien, après sa création, a élargi son discours pour l’étendre à la défense des droits de tous les prisonniers politiques et de conscience au Mexique. Dénonçant leur dure réalité, le Comité Cerezo est victime de mesures d’intimidation et de lourdes menaces sont fréquemment proférées à son encontre
