On June 21st, a day after World Refugee Day, the North Star Triangle project bussed into Halifax. The project initiator and longtime activist/educator David Pepper, is mobilizing GLBT communities and allies to increase public awareness to sponsor queer refugees to Canada. He is on a voluntary cross-canada tour to promote “Group of 5” and community sponsorships of refugees.

Last Friday afternoon, a large group rallied together right outside the Almon Street main office in Halifax to support the locked out postal workers.
