Program Title: JAM Live! Episode 147 - Funkometry
Description: Formed in 2018, Yukon’s Funkometry members bonded over their shared love of classic funk grooves. Whether they’re playing in a festival, pub, or concert hall, Funkometry’s role is to confront physical stillness with high doses of groovy music and get their fellow citizens moving. Funkometry’s musical repertoire includes tributes to contemporary old-school funk bands, funkified jazz classics from the 1920’s and 1930’s and revitalized classic funk tunes.
The group performed at the Old Fire Hall in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon, as part of Jazz Yukon’s “Jazz in the Hall” concert series in November 2019.
